15 Effective Home Remedies for Cataract

As the lens of the eye becomes opaque, a cataract develops. As a result, someone who has cataracts won't be able to see well because the lens' opacity will substantially impair vision. This occurs because the eye lens loses its softness and transparency, two characteristics that are crucial for having good vision, and instead becomes dry and hard. As a result, light rays are unable to travel past the eye's lens and reach the retina.

Cataract never sets in all at once. In the initial stages, there will be only a slight cloudiness in the eyes, due to which there will be a partial impairment of the vision. But as time passes, the opacity will increase till it even covers the complete eye lens. This is when the person can become totally blind.

The major cause of cataracts is advancing age and lack of care for the eyes. However, cataract is today easily curable with an operation.
