In my experience with functional nutrition, eating healthy foods can help manage hormonal issues ranging from amenorrhea to fibroids to PCOS. But in addition to reaping hormonal rewards through food, I also recommend that women drink their way to health with some easy, potent beverages that can have a big impact on the endocrine system.

Here are my favorite potentially hormone-balancing teas and beverages:



1. Warm Lemon Water


Sure, this one is simple, but I’ve been recommending warm lemon water for years and many clients tell me it’s made a big difference in their skin, boosted their energy, and helped keep them feeling satisfied between meals.

Lemons are high in vitamin C, which has been shown to benefit the skin and improve immunity.

Adding this powerful citrus fruit to warm water is also a tasty way to stay hydrated—an important component of overall health—and keep your digestion in motion.

Instructions: I recommend women start their day with a big glass of warm water and a few squeezes of lemon first thing in the morning. Cheers!

aspberry LeavesTea

Tea is made from raspberry leaves that regulate the female reproductive system. They strengthen the uterus, making menstruation, childbirth, and menopause easier. This tea gives extraordinary cheerfulness and can replace coffee. Drink it three cups a day, and the hormonal background will be fine.

The recipe is also simple: pour one tablespoon of raspberry leaves (dry) into 200 ml of boiling water, and let it brew for 10 minutes. Do not drink before going to bed, it is better to take it in the morning and during the day.

Milk with turmeric

Milk with turmeric is one of the most famous recipes of Ayurveda. It is also called "golden milk". This drink balances all hormones strengthens the immune system, improves digestion, and treats colds.

Recipe: for 200 ml of hot milk, and ½ spoonful of turmeric, you can add honey to taste. This drink is just better to drink at night.
